SHARD Premium+ Dermal Biopsy Blades are sterile, flexible scalpels designed for cutaneous surgery, including shave biopsies, saucerization of flat lesions, and leveling of pedunculated lesions.

Our unique dermal blade design features a comfortable and protective finger guard along with an ultra-sharp, flexible blade. This flexibility allows the blade to be positioned at the correct angle for the intended procedure.

SHARD Premium+ Dermal Biopsy Blades are ideal for removing various dermal lesions, suitable for Dermatologists, Podiatrists, Family Practitioners, and Plastic Surgeons.

These blades are used to remove elevated lesions (shave biopsy) or flat lesions (saucerization). After anesthetizing the site, the clinician holds and "bows" the blade between the thumb and fingers to remove the lesion at or just below the surface epithelium. This usually results in good cosmetic outcomes, with the wound healing without the need for sutures. The clinician can remove the entire lesion with minimal depth to avoid scarring.
