BOND APATITE by Augma Materials is a composite graft, made of Biphasic Calcium Sulfate mixed with HA granules in a controlled particle size distribution, intended to fill or augment a broad range of bony defects.

BOND APATITE is composed of 2 matrices which have different absorption coefficients and characteristics. The first matrix is a patented biphasic calcium sulfate which is absorbed and replaced completely with the patient’s own bone. The second matrix is a formula of hydroxyapatite granules which serves as a longer range space maintainer. The cement enables soft tissue to proliferate above its surface. As such, it prevents soft tissue invagination into the grafted site. No membrane is required during the grafting procedures.

BOND APATITE guarantees minimal invasive surgical procedure, reduced treatment time and convenient manipulation of the graft material for the clinician. In less than a minute the entire graft placement and stabilization can be achieved, even in the most challenging situations.

  • Minimal invasive surgical protocols
  • Easier and faster application – All-in-One Syringe
  • Transforms into the patient’s own bone
  • Enhance the healing with higher predictability
  • No membrane
  • Reduce chair time
  • Great value

BOND APATITE Bone Graft Cements are innovative materials designed for bone regeneration and augmentation procedures in oral surgery. To ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety, follow these usage guidelines:

Preoperative Assessment:

  • Evaluate the patient's medical history, bone defect characteristics, and suitability for bone grafting.
  • Confirm the absence of allergies to the components of BOND APATITE Bone Graft Cement.

Surgical Preparation:

  • Prepare the surgical site according to standard aseptic techniques, ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection.
  • Plan the placement of the bone graft cement based on the defect size and location.

Mixing and Application:

  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing the BOND APATITE Bone Graft Cement to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Apply the mixed cement directly to the defect site using suitable instruments, ensuring complete coverage and adaptation to the surrounding bone.

Contouring and Stabilization:

  • Contour the bone graft cement as needed to achieve proper anatomical reconstruction.
  • Stabilize the graft using fixation devices or by achieving primary closure of soft tissues over the graft site.

Postoperative Care:

  • Instruct the patient on postoperative care, including oral hygiene practices and dietary restrictions.
  • Prescribe medications, such as analgesics or antibiotics, as necessary to manage pain and prevent infection.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments to monitor healing progress and assess the need for additional interventions.

Safety Precautions:

  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols throughout the procedure to minimize the risk of contamination.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and masks, to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.

Documentation:

  • Document the details of the procedure, including the quantity of BOND APATITE Bone Graft Cement used and any observed outcomes or complications, in the patient's medical records.

By following these guidelines meticulously, oral surgeons can maximize the efficacy and safety of BOND APATITE Bone Graft Cements, leading to successful bone regeneration and augmentation outcomes.
